Before moving to New Zealand, my partner and I always heard terrible immigration stories and we were worried ours might be the same.

We finally got into contact with Auckland Immigration Services and couldn't understand why we were worried in the first place. We were greeted by the most fantastic people who truly had our best interests at heart. Our case was a bit tricky for various reasons but Dom and Laetetia filled us with so much confidence that they could get it done, and that they did!

We were in our mid seventies when we made the monumental decision to try to emigrate from our beautiful Oxfordshire home of over 30 years to New Zealand, to join our two daughters and their families in NZ. We had the great fortune of finding Dom and her team at Auckland Immigration Services.

They were so helpful in guiding us step by step through the application process of Retired Parents’ category. Yes there were challenges en route but AIS steered us through these wonderfully and more than that kept our confidence up when, at times, the hill seemed so steep to climb. This was a significant seven-year journey. Immigration is not for the faint-hearted! Our journey began in 2019, when we acted on our initial thoughts & dreams, did our research and then came to that final important decision: 'Yes, we are doing this!' With Domonique’s assistance, my son-in-law and daughter were already settled in New Zealand by that time.

It just made sense to trust Auckland Immigration Services to help us understand what needed to be done and guide & support us in navigating the necessary steps during this process.

The directions we received was always clear, detailing what was required from us and what Dom and the AIS team would, in turn, do for us during this process. As instructed, I began gathering and uploading all necessary documents. Once we were prepared and 'document ready', we turned our attention to Job hunting!

And then COVID hit in 2020....everything came to a complete stand-still...However, with the reopening of borders for Immigration in 2023, we resumed our efforts. Once we secured a Job, the process flowed smoothly, thanks to the thorough preparation and documentation we already had in place, facilitated by AIS. Dom and Laetetia expertly managed our Visa application process.

Our first year in New Zealand brought its own challenges. Dom guided us through VERY tough times and urgent Visa changes. The AIS Team was amazing and it took so much stress off our shoulders. We knew they had our best interest at heart and would prioritize what's best for us.

Throughout our 7 years as clients of AIS, we received clear instructions regarding required documents and deadlines; thus ensuring we understood our responsibilities. Queries were addressed promptly, and despite moments of overwhelming stress, we realized that having AIS at the forefront of this daunting Immigration journey offered us peace of mind, knowing all requirements were being managed effectively. We are incredibly grateful that AIS took off this massive weight from our shoulders.

Today, we have been granted our Residency!

Looking ahead, we still have our Permanent Residency and Citizenship applications ahead. AIS will undoubtedly be our preferred choice for these processes during the next five years. Dom and Laetetia are already like New Zealand family to us; they have been by our side through all of OUR Inmigration journey...yes through the Good, the Bad and the Ugly...
